Born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Ree Drummond, one of the most recognizable women in American media, gained initial success as a blogger before becoming an author, food writer, photographer, entrepreneur, and television personality. Upon graduating from high school, Drummond left Bartlesville and attended the University of Southern California and earning a degree in gerontology. She married Oklahoma rancher Ladd Drummond in 1996 and moved outside Pawhuska, Oklahoma. She began the Confessions of a Pioneer Woman blog in 2006 about life on the ranch. Her recipes and food photography garnered national attention, winning Weblog of the Year twice and a spot in TIME's "25 Best Blogs". Catching the eye of The Food Network, Drummond began hosting The Pioneer Woman television series in 2011. She has published several cookbooks and The Pioneer Woman lifestyle line features cookware, dishware, décor, and clothing.

Drummond aided in the revitalization of Pawhuska, opening The Mercantile, a restaurant and boutique, The Boarding House, a bed and breakfast, P-Town Pizza, and Charlie's Sweet Shop. Through her entrepreneurship, civic mindedness, and generosity, she continues making important contributions to Oklahoma.
