Rebecca "Becky" Dixon's contributions to her home state of Oklahoma span her longstanding and successful career in television journalism. Earning degrees in Education and Journalism from the University of Tulsa, she pursued a career in sports journalism that ultimately took her around the world.

Dixon's career began with a spot on Tulsa's KTUL-TV. She soon became the first female to host a sports show on ABC's Wide World of Sports. Her love for reporting from the sidelines led her to cover huge events, including the Super Bowl and Winter Olympics. Through these experiences, she became a pioneer for women in sports journalism around the world.

After decades in television sports journalism, she returned to Tulsa and founded Dixon Productions. She created a talk show, Oklahomans, that featured inspiring characters who had contributed to the fields of music, sports, and politics from the Sooner State. Dixon's show aired for more than two decades, telling the story of Oklahoma through its greatest treasures. Dixon then founded AyerPlay, a telecommunications company, where she remains today.

She has received prominent awards like the Sadie Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association for Women in Communications and the Katie Award from the Press Club of Dallas, Texas.
